Your Voice is Your Power. We Help You Amplify It.

A single voice can be ignored, but a collective roar demands attention. KWRHP’s Worker Advocacy & Collective Voice pillar is dedicated to transforming isolated workers into a unified force for change. Grounded in the Constitution of Kenya and key labor laws, we empower you to organize, mobilize, and negotiate from a position of strength. Your right to associate and bargain collectively is protected—we provide the tools, training, and strategic support to make that right a reality.

The Legal Foundation of Your Collective Power

Our advocacy is rooted in the supreme law of the land and supporting legislation:

  • The Constitution of Kenya (2010), Article 36(1): Guarantees the right to freedom of association, including the right to form, join, or participate in the activities of a trade union.

  • The Labour Relations Act (2007): Provides the legal framework for the formation, registration, and operation of trade unions and employers’ organizations, and promotes collective bargaining.

  • The Employment Act (2007): Strengthens the position of workers by providing clear terms and conditions of employment, which form the basis for collective bargaining demands.

“When 100+ retail workers in Nairobi were faced with sudden mass layoffs without severance, we helped them organize, file a collective grievance under the Labour Relations Act, and negotiate a settlement that secured full severance pay and repatriation allowances for every single worker.”

There is Strength in Numbers.
